Located in the heart of the French capital, the University of London Institute in Paris (ULIP) is a major UK institution in France and has been an integral part of the University of London since 1969. As the first British institute on continental Europe, our mission is to connect the UK with the Francophone world by providing a hub for fruitful academic exchange and enabling our students to gain invaluable international experience.

Originally known as the Franco-British Guild, the Institute is dedicated to promoting the study of language and cultural understanding and continues to offer its outstanding French Studies programme.

There are four undergraduate programmes on offer, which provide a truly unique opportunity to study the language, culture, and history of France along with optional specialist subjects. They are:

• French Studies
• French Studies with Business
• French Studies with History
• French Studies with International Relations

With the creation of our new International Relations programme (in partnership with Queen Mary University of London), we will also offer a new BA in International Politics for 2018 entry.

We provide an exceptional learning experience for our students, combining the benefits of a small and convivial institute with all of the advantages of a large UK university with global reach. Through living in the country that you are studying, the modules will not only be brought to life in your daily routine around the city, but you will also develop your intercultural skills and improve your employment prospects.
